High-performance synthetic media removes over 97% of all oil contaminants versus 78& for conventional paper element filters. This oil filter also features a metal shell that is over 50% thicker than conventional filters with a durable paint finish to resist corrosion even in saltwater environments. Be sure old gasket is removed from the mounting base.; Apply a thin coat of oil to filter gasket. Make sure gasket is seat properly in base of filter.; Screw on until gasket contacts base and tighten two-thirds to one turn.; Use an acceptable filter wrench, if necessary; do not exceed one turn.; Refill crankcase; run engine and check for leaks.; Check oil level.; Change your oil filter after every 50 hours of normal use.
