As a result the Specialist comes fully equipped with a wide array of performance-enhancing features made to satisfy a public servant's specific requirements. These features include an undercut trigger guard to place the shooter's hand in an optimal position and a recessed slide stop is included to accommodate the installation of laser grips. The sights are composed of snag-free Novak-style fixed sights with illuminated tritium lamps for accurate shooting in low-light environments. The tactical rear sight utilizes an abrupt front face allowing the user to rack the slide one-handed. The Specialist also features an inverted top rib running between the front and rear sights to help reduce glare for a clean sight picture in any lighting condition. In terms of user-friendly upgrades the Specialist is outfitted with an ambidextrous thumb safety for comfortable shooting in either hand and an extended magazine release and detachable flared magazine well make reloads fast and easy. To ensure superior control over the weapon the Specialist features 25 LPI on the front and back straps as well as generous texturing on its G10 grips.
