The sturdy shell material comes from the historic Halley Stevensons, specialists in waxed cottons since 1864. Finished in their 'Baltic Works' factory in Dundee, Scotland, this unique fabric has a dry hand feel, yet provides outstanding water resistance. The interior is lined with our signature cotton Cover Cloth for comfort, and the sleeves with polyester twill for ease of layering. The collar is top-lined with 100% wool for warmth against the neck, and the handwarmer pockets are lined with thick, comfortable cotton flannel. To ensure comfortable ease of motion, the two-way front zipper extends to hip length, and the rear hem boasts a long pleat that allows the coat to flare while seated. Durable, custom Filson snaps secure the front storm flap, adjustable cuffs, cargo pocket flaps and throat-latch tab.
