MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny slots provide a rock-solid attachment point for the optic that won't shift during extended-fire sessions. Easy to install - requires no permanent modification to the rifle. Channel through the length of the mount has a built-in rear sight that works with factory front sight for iron sight backup in the event of optic damage, failure, or battery run-down.
