The Wildfire blends elements of a hiking shoe with more climb-oriented features such as climbing laces that extend to the toes a protective rubber rand that also adds some edging capabilities and Pomoca rubber outsoles that mix hike-oriented tread with climb-oriented sticky rubber to help them work their way up the mountain to the base of the climbing route. The PTX adds a PowerTex waterproof membrane to add some weather protection for soggy trails damp days and wet weather.
