Lasdrop 7/8" Elite Shaft Seal, Lasdrop 7/8" Elite Shaft SealThe Lasdrop Elite is a compact lip seal designed for quick and easy installation. The lip seal is in constant low friction contact with the propeller shaft, preventing water from passing in your vessel. As in all Lasdrop models, the Elite incorporates a water lubricated alignment bearing, made of a durable co-polymer, directly in the housing to keep the unit properly aligned with the shaft.This new model is mounted on Trident VHT Blue Silicone polyester-reinforced hose. As a safety feature, each of the Lasdrop models (1 1/8" shafts and above) are manufactured with dual water injection ports; this, in the event that your vessel loses an engine, will insure you still have cooling and lubrication water flowing to the unit. The Elite also has a protective seal case that is secured to the housing that encompasses a back-up seal, all included in the kit, making it interchangeable in the future without the need for removing the shaft from the coupling. A 2nd back-up seal in the compartment is also available as an option.As in all of Lasdrop models, the Elite is sold as a complete kit.The kit includes: Trident VHT Blue Silicone mounting hose; (8) AWAB 316 stainless steel hose clamps; (2) water supply lines; A back-up seal; A seal case.; Limited 3-Year Manufacturer's Warranty
